Spring is right around the corner, and we women need to look our best with the latest fashions. But with the economy in this state we must learn to improvise. The best way we could stay trendy but still be economical, would be by trying to incorporate in our lifestyle the latest colors that fashion designers will be using for their spring collections. Fall Fashion week has ended and Pantone the matching color report has released the top 10 colors for spring 2009. It’s all about Deep and Vibrant yet Translucent colors.
Twice a year at the launch of the Spring and Fall fashion shows, Pantone surveys fashion designers and collects feed back on what are the colors that will be used by fashion designers for their collections. This is determined by color inspiration, color philosophy and each designer’s signature shade. This information is used to create the PANTONE Fashion Color Report; serves as a reference tool for fashion designers.
According to Pantone “these colors evoke a sense of freshness and new beginnings.” What woman doesn’t want a new beginning even if its on clothing or makeup.
Below are the top 10 colors of spring 2009
(PANTONE 18-2328) Fuchsia red can be used for clothing, lipstick and nail polish.
(PANTONE 15-1626) Salmon rose is very soft in undertone, and can be used by most complexions.
(PANTONE 14-0754)Super lemon is very vibrant would look great in eyeshadow paired with another color from the list.
(PANTONE 18-4043) Palace blue is my favorite along side the fifth color
(PANTONE 14-5714) Lucite Green, they both have that vibrant yet soft undertone and can be used in clothing and eye shadow palettes.
(PANTONE 16-0435) Dark Citron can be paired on a lovely dress adding an extra sophistication lift.
(PANTONE) 15-3817 )Lavender is also a beautiful one that gives a sensual yet soft appearance.
(PANTONE) 16-5804 Slate Gray is one of the many colors that can be paired with another piece of clothing, nail polish, or eyeshadow.
PANTONE 16-6339 Vibrant Green is a favorite among many you can make your eyes pop with this color for a night out on the town. This color usually looks extremely good on darker complexions as well.
PANTONE 14-1307 Rose Dust portrays eloquence and sophistication easy to pair it with a lip gloss, blush, eye shadow or clothing.
Regardless of what color you choose you will definitely be rewarding your personality, it is always said that certain colors bring a certain energy to ones life, and these colors are inspiring designers “New York’s fashion designers encourage hopeful attitudes with lively colors, while sophisticated, grounded hues address the need for stability in times of economic uncertainty,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
