He’s Just not that into you. Movie Review.

http://hesjustnotthatintoyoumovie.com/This movie was based on the book, He’s Just not that into you: your daily wake up call written by: Greg Behredt and co-writer Liz Tuccillo. The books Motto and self-proclaimed title was also featured on an episode of sex and the city.  A movie was finally due, and so it happened.

This movie was written by: Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein and Directed by: Ken Kwapis. It has a slew of actors. Drew Barrimore, Scarlet Johanson, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck among many. Even Greg Behredt is featured in the movie.  He makes a quick appearance;a la M. night Shyamalan and Stephen king.  Watch it and see if you spot him.

To those that have not read the book they really should. Although, the movie covers if not all, most of the key points.  The movie portrays a series of stories about a girl trying to find love; will she find love ?

A woman (Jennifer Aniston) who’s been in a relationship for 7 years  is waiting for her significant other to propose, but he doesn’t believe in marriage. Does that mean that she should leave him? Will she ever get married?

It also shows A married man who develops a crush for a woman (Scarlet Johanson ) will he give in to the selfish- guilty- pleasure and ruin his marriage?

There are so many more stories, and they are all some how intertwined.

What I like about this movie is that anyone can go see it. Yes it’s probably categorized as a chick flick. But anyone can go and see this movie. I saw couples, all girls, daughter and mom and a whole entire family. Its based on real life situations and it helps one understand what are the signs when a guy is just not that into you. It also shares some insights for guys and helps them see the signs; if a woman is just not that into him.

This movie is blatantly honest with the viewers; as the book was with the readers.  “If he calls you, he’s into you and if he doesn’t, hes not” plain and simple.  the movie points out how we woman make up excuses for men, or we blame ourselves for different things that didn’t work out in a relationship, or marriage. It also shows that you can simply move on. Either you find your true love, or sometimes being happy doesn’t constitute finding your true love but getting rid of unwanted baggage that’s pulling you down. Such as, an unworthy man, most times is better to be alone and happy.

I highly recommend this movie and the book . This movie made me cry, laugh and enjoy life!

Ladies, go watch it and find out “if you’re the exception, or the rule!”

Gentlemen, go take your ladies and win some points!
