Her name is Ivette Deleon. It all began when her mother was a sample maker in the fashion district. Since then her unique talent took its path. While she was pursuing her BFA Degree in the Fashion Institute of Technology, she started her own handbag line. The reason these handbags are so unique is because she adds her graphic twist to them since she also has a graphic design background, she gets to play with patterns, and develop exclusive handbags. We women love exclusivity right? Most of the handbags are limited edition. These are handbags that are carefully detailed, and crafted with leather, screen printed fabric designed by Ivette Deleon herself, and any material that “inspires her”. Her target consumer is a woman that wants to make a statement when she walks in a room. I own a couple of these babies and they are very unique. They definitely do make a statement. Ivette states that “inspiration comes from everything that surrounds me; my handbags are special because I see them as a piece of art. I design my own handbags, including pattern making and sewing them.” She believes everything she has gone through is all worth it when she sees someone wearing her handbag. Deleon Handbags have been featured in fashion shows,photoshoots and magazines.
